Timing.

Hello dear users, we haven't been very active here on itch.io for months. Being a two-person team,  we had some pretty rough start and had to learn to adjust on all fronts by ourselves. Since doing, all the PR, design, art and coding while still dealing efficiently with real life situation seemed to be overwhelming for us,  even more with the pandemic that started early this year, we decided to focus our efforts first on the offline side first. That decision paid off because now, we are pleased to present you with a brand new  èYè (the one we announced in lour previous email). 

Condensed changelog.

• The most obvious change is the visual aesthetic. èYè has gone through a lot of visual changes since its launch but thanks to all of you, we've now got what seem to be the  right look and feel to build on.

• The software now works well for both right and left-handed people (left hand still need some polishing thought)

• We now support more custom displays and are working towards support for 4K monitors
• The timer has got some serious love and is not more efficient to ever, and we are there's even a new version of it that's currently being tested

• We have introduced a bunch of features geared towards making docs faster and faster
• There are now four various ways to safely share your work with your friends/family/client.  This was added for two main reasons: first is convenience (almost every phone in the word can read image formats) and the second is to protect your work from being stolen

• We've removed (again) the music player that was used for transcription because we were building it around the vlc project (credited) but it made èYè size skyrocket from 1.2Mb to about 300Mb; we are looking for better alternative
• We're also currently training our voice recognition AI, hopefully we can soon start introducing testing branches for you to try out new features and give us some useful feedback
• On the translation side, we haven't made much progress with regard to auto-translate, but we're still digging
• We've decided to change the naming by going this route : "softwarename year.month" and in case there are two or more updates in a month, we will add a ".updatenumber" at the end
• Overall this version has been focused on building a solid word processor for now

What from now?

We'll introduce from Jan 2021, development branches and also show you sneak peek of new features we are working on. We'll also let you vote and decide which of those features we should focus on. We will also introduce a launcher for our software programs, hopefully making their usage, a better experience for the end user.

We've missed the beginning of the sale and it's already the last day, but we still want to give it a try. So we are counting on your support.

Known issues.

• There are some issues with the left-handed experience that are currently being investigated and will be addressed in the future updates
• There are some inconstancy with the selection tool 
• The status bar is sometime hidden under the documents tabs' bar
• We have changed our installer builder and are having some trouble getting the new one work as intend for now. But we are looking for ways to get it work, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
